Case Studies > 1 : Webb Estate, Purley (2010)As featured in Royal Institute of British Architects Directory of Chartered Practices London 10. Replacing the old house (which was demolished), this new three floor house occupies an 800m2 area. Sitting in a large, mature garden, the overall design fits in extremely well with the local character, whilst incorporating some very exiting features, including the entrance area. All of the rooms are accessible from a large central hall on each floor, with voids which give an impressive quality. This house is located in the Webb Estate, Purley, which was developed by Sir William Webb in the 1920s using the Garden First principle and has some of the most sought-after houses in the UK. .
